Spray Tanning Shouldn’t Be Hard -
Here is EVERYTHING you need to know before you book your tan…
-
Getting a beautiful, even spray tan starts before you walk in the door. A little prep goes a long way.
Exfoliate Your Skin: Exfoliate your entire body 24 hours before your appointment. This removes dry skin so your tan applies smoothly and evenly.
Shave, Wax, and Get Nails Done Ahead of Time: Get all other services done at least 24 hours before your spray tan. Freshly shaved skin can cause irritation and uneven color.
Skip Lotion, Oils & Perfume: Arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid lotion, deodorant, perfume, or body oil the day of your appointment.
Wear Loose Clothing: Bring loose, dark clothing to wear after your tan. Tight clothes can rub the solution before it develops.
Remove Makeup & Jewelry: These can create barriers on the skin and affect the final result.
-
Wait to Shower: Follow the rinse time recommended at your appointment. Most tans develop in 2-3 hours for Rapid Tans and 8-10 Hours for regular solution before your first shower.
Take a Gentle First Rinse: Your first shower should be a quick, lukewarm rinse with no soap. You’ll see the cosmetic bronzer wash away — this is completely normal.
Moisturize Daily: Hydrated skin keeps your tan looking even and helps it last longer. Use a gentle, oil-free moisturizer every day.
Avoid Long Hot Showers & Baths: Hot water and long soaking can cause your tan to fade faster.
Skip Exfoliating Products: Avoid scrubs, exfoliating gloves, retinols, and strong body washes while your tan is developing.
Pat Dry Instead of Rubbing: After showers, gently pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing.
Most spray tans last 7–10 days with proper care.

Loose, dark clothing is your best friend after a spray tan. Think sweatpants, oversized tees, or a comfy dress. Tight clothing can rub the solution before it fully develops.
-
Whatever makes you comfortable! Most clients wear disposable undergarments, a swimsuit, or go nude. Your comfort is always the priority.
-
Nope. Modern spray tan solutions are designed to match your natural undertones so your tan looks sun-kissed, not orange. We specifically pick the solution for you based on your skin tone. All tans are created differently.
-
We recommend waiting until after your first rinse before sweating. Sweat can interrupt the developing process.
-
Many expecting moms still choose spray tans since they avoid UV exposure. If you have concerns, it’s always best to check with your doctor first.
